The Ten Houses project explores the future of housing in Detroit as more millennials and young professionals begin to move back into the city. Though this exploration, the concept of shared housing was explored by creating a series of ten townhouses with a range of five to six different rentable bedrooms. The idea is the cost of the townhouses would be split between young professionals with the overall goal of promoting co-living and cross collaboration between the well-educated youth, seeking increased opportunities in a newly rejuvenated Detroit. The townhouses include two terrace/balcony spaces as well as large communal kitchens and lounge spaces.
